What is AAU?
AAU stands for Amateur Athletic Union. The AAU is a national organization and is one of the largest, non-profit, volunteer, sports organizations in the United States. The AAU is dedicated to the promotion and development of amateur sports and physical fitness, such as with The Eastside Basketball Club (EBC) program. 

Who is Eastside Basketball Club (EBC)?
Eastside Basketball Club is a non-profit 501 (c) (3) organization. EBC is a member of AAU and provides elite training for teams and individuals. For more information on our strong group of leaders, please see our organizational link on our website which will direct you to our Board of Directors. 

Where is Eastside Basketball Club located?
EBC is located in Marymoor Park in Redmond, Washington.  Our address is 17455 NE 67th Court, Suite 160, Redmond, WA  98052.  Telephone number 425-861-8800. 

Who is coaching my child?
We have a select, experienced group of coaches and trainers. Please note that all coaches, trainers and/or volunteer coaches will be required to submit references, coaching experience, full background check and a signed EBC Code of Conduct Pledge. For more information on our current coaches, please see our coaches’ link on our website.

Does it cost money to try out for EBC?
It does NOT cost any money to try out for EBC. There are different dates associated with try outs and your grade level. Please check the Team Page for your try out date. To reserve your spot for try outs, please email Knettles@EastsideBasketballClub.org

What are the fees associated with EBC?
It does NOT cost any money to be on a team. However, to be on a team, you are required to participate in monthly training which includes our Speed and Strength Training twice per week at a cost of $150 per month.

EBC covers the cost of uniforms, sweat suits, bags and player tournament fees. 

Length of Season, Practice and Game Times?
The EBC fall/winter season runs from September to late March and the spring season is March to June, with several tournaments throughout the season.

There are typically two practices per week with games on Saturdays. Practices will normally run between 5:30 pm to 8:30 pm. Saturday games can start as early as 9:00 am and end as late as 9:00 pm.

What if my child plays multiple sports?
EBC encourages and supports all youth that play more than one sport. We have several choices of training times available throughout the week to accommodate your busy schedules. We can also offer a training package that is one session per week at $90 per month. 

What if my child makes a team and has multiple sports?
 

Many players that participate with EBC play multiple sports. EBC can tailor the needs of your child and your schedule to best of our ability. 

If I sign up for training one month, do I have to keep signing up?
No, training is on a month to month basis. However, if you are on a team, it is required to take monthly training. 

What if my child does not make a team?
EBC is a full basketball training facility. We encourage your child to continue to work hard and remain in our training program and return to the next upcoming try outs. 

Does my child need to try out every year to be placed on the team?
 

Yes.

Do the players get to keep the jerseys?
Not the official game uniforms. However, they will be able to keep their practice jerseys.
