High School Tryouts at EBC for 2012

9th and 10th Grade Girls (current grades)

Sunday, March 4th and Monday, March 5th from 5:30pm to 7pm

9th Grade Boys (current grade)

Saturday, March 3rd and Monday, March 5th from 4pm to 5:30pm.  Selected 9th graders will be invited to attend the 10th and 11th grade tryouts.

League and Tournament games TBD - Out of state tournaments optional

10th and 11th Grade Boys (current grade)

Saturday, March 10th from 2pm to 4pm.  Sunday, March 11th from 9am to noon. 

TENTATIVE SCHEDULE OF LEAGUES AND TOURNAMENTS:

  • April 20-22 NW Premier Spring Showcase
  • April 27-29 NW Premier Oregon Spring Showcase
  • May 5-6, May 12, May 19-20 Washington Premier Spring League
  • July 13-15 NW Premier Summer Showcase
  • July 25-30 Adidas Super 64 Las Vegas
  • ***One more tournament TBD***

Last year's high school team coached by curretn Northwest University assistant coach Todd Rubin, won NW Oregon Tournament, won the Washington Premier Spring League, was the runner-up in the NW Premier Summer Showcase and made the ELITE 8 in the Las Vegas Adidas Super 64 tournament.  

All high school players will get additional training sessions with our coaches.  Come join EBC!  The home of State Championship coaches; Mike Kelly, Keith Hennig and Michael Angelidis.  

 

EBC Elite Finish in Elite 8 of 2011 Adidas Super 64

Our EBC Elite I high school team coached by Todd Rubin, completed a great run on Monday, July 25th in the Adidas Super 64 in Las Vegas.  They competed against 181 different teams in the U-17 division.  After finishing first in pool play and with a 2-1 record, they won the right to play in the championship bracket. 
 
They played Franchize All-Stars in round 1, Family first in round 2 and beat DC Assault in the Sweet 16.  They lost to Dream Vision in the final Elite 8.  Dream Vision has the top #1 recruit in the nation and finished 2nd in the tournament. 
 
What makes their run so special was there has not been a team in our area that finished in the top 8 since Rotary in 2007 and FOH in 2004.  They competed against teams that had D1 recruits while EBC had no player currently being recruited by D1 schools.....we feel this may change now! :-)  
 
They did it all with teamwork and motivation with a solid work ethic. 
 
They are truly the example of....."Where Success Follows Hard Work." 
 
This summer the team has accomplished:
 
Championship at the NW Hoops Spring Invitational 
Championship at the Washington Premier Spring League 
2nd Place at the NW Premier Showcase NCAA Event 
Elite 8th Place Finish at the Adidas Super 64 in Las Vegas
